A Conference on “National Security: Perspectives and Challenges in The Context of Nepal” was held at the APF Command and Staff College on 08 October 2026. The Presenter and Chairperson included Former Secretary, Government of Nepal Mr. Dwarika Nath Dhungel, Former Chief Investigation Director, (NID), Nepal Mr. Devi Ram Sharma, AIG Ganesh Thada Magar of APF, Nepal, Maj. Gen Tank Prasad Bhatt (Retd.) Nepal Army and Geopolitical Analyst Mr. Jason Dev Baidya. The programme was chaired by Former Secretary, Government of Nepal Mr. Dwarika Nath Dhungel and moderated by Maj. Gen Tank Prasad Bhatt (Retd.) Nepal Army.
The audience and primary beneficiaries of the programme were Directing Staffs and the Student Officers of the 11th APF Command and Staff Course.
Participants discussed the roles of the Armed Police Force, Nepal and the existing coordination mechanisms in “National Security: Perspectives and Challenges in The Context of Nepal”. During the session, emerging multiple dynamics in National security were discussed and the Presenter provided valuable insights along with key recommendations. The session commenced with welcome remarks and an overview of the Conference and concluded with the decision to prepare a comprehensive Conference report incorporating the inputs and recommendations raised during the deliberations.
