APF Command & Staff College

Message from the Academic Program Coordinator

It is my pleasure and honor to introduce myself as one of the founding member of this APF Command and Staff College. When APF decided to start its own Command and Staff Course, i was invited to develop its curriculum and preliminary works that gave me a full grasp of its aims and objectives. This opportunity to work as chief academic program coordinator has been a great challenge for me to blend academic excellence with professional competence to educate and develop professional leaders and commanders that was so unique and new in Nepalese context.

As a matter of fact, a majority of officers get so much bogged down with their daily duty that they find less time to enhance leadership and staff duties in a professional manner. Besides, many officers get training opportunities abroad that gives them mixed message with limited application of what they learn abroad and even within the country.

Therefore, it was a commendable effort of APF, Nepal to initiate this APF Command and Staff College that is coming up so well. Command and Staff College has been very fortunate to have full support and guidance from the Tribhuvan University, eminent professors and think-tanks in economic, political, social fields.

As a retired AIG of APF, Nepal , I feel fortunate to get this opportunity work as a bridge between the academic excellence of the Tribhuvan University of Nepal, one of the oldest universities of South Asia and a new organization Armed Police Force, Nepal.
